DESIGNED FOR THE FIELD, ENGINEERED FOR SIMPLICITY

ABOUT ZiaMap

Built by operators. Engineered for clarity.

Our Mission

To provide surveying and engineering teams with a high-fidelity, defensible record of field activity. We believe field documentation shouldn't be a secondary task—it should be a seamless, automated byproduct of doing the work correctly.

Our Vision

A world where disputes are resolved instantly with immutable data. We are stripping away enterprise bloat to give small-to-midsize firms the precision tools they deserve without the prohibitive overhead.

CORE VALUES

Title

Software that works in the mud, in the rain, and with gloves on. Practicality is our first priority.

THE FOUNDERS

The expertise behind the platform.

Brian Jaquess
CO-FOUNDER

Brian Jaquess

Chief Operations Officer

A veteran land surveyor with over 20 years of field experience. Brian has managed complex site surveys across three continents and founded ZiaMap after losing a week of critical data to a corrupted enterprise sync. He ensures every pixel of ZiaMap serves the person standing in the field.

Sean Schertell
CO-FOUNDER

Sean Schertell

Chief Technology Officer

With a background in high-availability systems and data integrity, Sean leads the technical engineering of the Evidence Feed. He is obsessed with the concept of "immutable field records" and believes that the hardest environments require the most reliable software architecture.

Kurt Dahlstrom
CO-FOUNDER

Kurt Dahlstrom

Chief Marketing Officer

Kurt bridges the gap between engineering requirements and user experience. Formerly a project manager for large-scale infrastructure projects, he understands the pain of documentation audits. He designed the ZiaMap interface to be "invisible" so operators can focus on the job, not the app.

WHY ZIAMAP?

We didn't set out to build another "project management" tool. We set out to solve a specific, high-stakes problem:

THE PROFESSIONAL LIABILITY OF MISSING DATA.

Because we've lived the problem, standing on job sites at 5 AM, dealing with faulty GPS syncs and bloated enterprise logins, we built ZiaMap to be different. It's lightweight, it's fast, and it treats your data like the legal evidence it often becomes.
