How do I initialize a new survey session?
To begin a new field session, open the Command Center on your mobile device and select 'Initialize Deployment'. Confirm GPS lock before capturing the first record so every entry starts with a defensible location trail.

Offline data syncing protocols
ZiaMap stores field data locally in a secure buffer while crews are offline. As soon as a stable connection is detected, records are encrypted and transmitted to the cloud automatically so nothing is left stranded on the device.

What encryption standards are utilized?
ZiaMap uses AES-256 encryption for data at rest and TLS 1.3 for data in transit. That means field records are protected both on-device and while moving between crews, browsers, and cloud infrastructure.
